Day 1 / 7

DAY 1, Thursday - Depart for Peru

Depart for Peru. Upon arrival in Cuzco, transfer to your hotel. This evening, attend an orientation meeting at approximately 6:30 PM with your Tour Manager, followed by a Welcome Dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in Cuzco no later than 5 PM on Day 1 of the itinerary, or earlier if possible

DAY 2, Friday - Pisac Market, Afternoon at Leisure in Cuzco

This morning, take a scenic drive to Pisac Village. Explore the town and bargain with vendors on the cobblestone streets of the Pisac handicraft market. Enjoy a cultural blast as the entire town has been converted into a street market. The afternoon is at leisure to discover Cuzco on your own or, join the optional Highlights of Cuzco excursion that takes you to the impressive Colonial Cathedral with its collection of over 400 paintings, the Temple of the Sun and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which took over seven decades to complete

DAY 3, Saturday - Discover Machu Picchu

Early morning transfer to the Sacred Valley's Ollanta Station to board The Voyager Train that travels through misty peaks to the astonishing ancient citadel of Machu Picchu*, the "Lost City of the Incas", designated by UNESCO as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Machu Picchu was virtually unknown to the western world until Hiram Bingham's rediscovery in 1911. Spend the morning viewing the unforgettable wonders of this 15th century retreat, abandoned nearly 100 years later with the arrival of the conquistadors. See the highlights of the site including the imposing Temple of the Sun, the House of the Priest, the Sacred Plaza and the intricately carved rock likely used as a sundial by the ancient Incas. The images of this significant archaeological site will be a long-lasting memory. Return to the Sacred Valley in the early evening and transfer to your hotel in Cuzco for overnight

DAY 4, Sunday - Nazca Lines Overflight

Depart Cuzco this morning by flight to Paracas. Upon arrival, enjoy an hour to an hour and a half flight on a high wing light aircraft, over the desert and the mysterious Nazca Lines*, which can only be appreciated from the air. Then, drive to your hotel which overlooks Paracas Bay. This evening, a delectable dinner awaits you at the hotel’s restaurant

DAY 5, Monday - Morning at Leisure in Paracas, Tacama Vineyard

Spend the morning at leisure, or join the optional tour of the scenic Ballestas Islands. These islands, are an important sanctuary for marine fauna like the guanay guano bird, the blue-footed booby and the tendril. Other species include the Humboldt penguins, zarcillos, fur seals and sea lions, all coexisting in their natural habitat. Later in the morning, drive to Tacama, the oldest vineyard in Peru, located in the Valley of Ica. The sommelier will explain about the different wines and piscos and give recommendations during your tasting. Lunch follows in a terrace overlooking the vineyards. Afterward, tour the beautiful winery which was created in the 16th century. Learn about the history and the manufacturing process of their wines & piscos. This evening, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure

Day 6 / 7

DAY 6, Tuesday - Lima City Tour, Farewell Dinner

Depart Paracas this morning, and head north on a long drive along the Pan-American Highway through desert landscapes towards Lima. Upon arrival embark on a tour of Lima, with its 2000 years of history, beginning at the colonial center of the city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its historic buildings surrounding the splendid Plaza Mayor. View the impressive Palace of the Archbishop with its fine carved balcony, the opulent Government Palace, official residence of the President, and the 16th century Cathedral of Lima whose first stone was laid by Pizarro. Continue to the 17th century Monasterio de San Francisco complex with its magnificent tiles, ornate carved ceilings, exceptional paintings and world-renowned library. Tonight, bid farewell to your Tour Manager and fellow travelers at a special Farewell Dinner with Peruvian specialties

DAY 7, Wednesday - Depart Peru

Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your departure flight*

*Some flights depart shortly after midnight in the very early morning of Day 7 and will require a transfer on Day 6. Transfers depart the hotel approximately 4 hours prior to flight time
