Jonny Bierman

Jonny Bierman’s interest in ecotourism blossomed during his work with the Heart of Gold Project in Coast Rica, which helps farming communities embrace the principles of sustainable agro-tourism. After completing his Tourism Management studies and a semester abroad in Mexico, Jonny coupled his passions for media and content with ecotourism and founded Eco Escape Travel. He hopes to grow Eco Escape Travel into a thriving hub for ecotourism and adventure travel content while inspiring readers to contribute and help lead the way in sustainable travel. Kassondra Cloos

Kassondra Cloos is a freelance travel, outdoor, and gear writer, and a co-founder of Adventures in Wikipedia. You’ll find her work online and in print in a vast array of publications. She is constantly adventuring around the Southwest, and stays in hostels whenever possible. On weekends, you’ll find her smuggling insulated bottles full of ice cream onto backpacking trips, and on weeknights, you’ll often find her unplugging for spontaneous mid-week camping trips. Lauren Mazzo

Lauren Mazzo is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She’s an Ithaca College alumna, a Rochester, NY, native and an NYC transplant who works in-house at a leading women’s lifestyle publication. When she’s not lifting weights, downward-dogging, or running around Central Park, she’s probably eating all the peanut butter, chocolate or bacon cheeseburgers in sight. Katherine Parker Magyar

Katherine Parker Magyar was only 14-months old when her parents took her to the Arctic Circle. Since then, she has visited all 50 states and nearly as many countries (48 and counting). She’s lived abroad in London and Osaka, but calls NYC home. Katherine has contributed to numerous publications, and been interviewed by just as many regarding about her travels throughout Africa and Europe, and her reporting on the Barbary Coast. David Wilkinson is the founder of Switchback Travel. He edits and contributes too much of the content, and oversees day-to-day operations. His love for the outdoors was rooted firmly while growing up in Boulder, Colorado.
